Playa Langosta is a great option for those looking for good waves. It is about one mile south of downtown Tamarindo and has consistent breaks along the coast. The river mouth creates interesting waves year-round; the main peak can get crowded, while waves are often fast and variable at low tide and fuller and heavier at high tide.
